How do I create online forms that can save submissions as separate files?

I’m an art director. I’d like to create a web-based form that the marketing managers can fill out that will provide me with project specs, deadlines, etc. I want to be able to save each submitted form as a file that I can use as a project spec sheet. I’ve tried Wufoo and JotForm but they only allow for saving reports as files (so I end up with all submissions in same file). Does anyone know of a solution to my needs?
I’m not a developer nor do I have internal development capabilities.

Well, this all depends on what you have for resources. There’s a reason you looked into Wufoo and JotFrom and I’m guessing that you don’t have internal developer resources….

A quick read at Wufoo shows a paid option that will allow you to export reports as files, Excel was given as an example.

Again, I’m not familiar with Wufoo, but it seems that if you can dlownload an Excel file, you can pretty much “filter” and/or massage that information using standard Excel features.

The previous answer to your question applies – assuming that you have internal resources to create one for you (on your own web site, in whatever platform your own web site is using).

What will keratin do to my hair if it looks like this?

They’re not permanent, that’s $300 – $800 each time you get them done. It is a trillion dollar business, and they do not give money back guarantee for damaged hair or hair loss due to ‘abuse’, in this case, cancer.
Hair straighteners are known as hair relaxers, keratin treatments and hair-smoothing products. They work by breaking and reforming the chemical bonds in keratin, which is the main protein that gives shape to each hair.

> > > > BRAZILIAN BLOWOUT HAD BEEN BANNED by the Food & Drug Adm. Sept. 12, 2011.

Google: keratin treatment warnings. About 2,620,000 results (0.36 seconds) 6-24-12.
1-23-12. and Google: Lawsuits Brazilian Blowouts. About 1,010,000 results (0.24 seconds)
In Sept. the federal government put out a hazard alert about the hair-smoothing treatment, Brazilian Blowout etc. warning that it contains liquid formaldehyde that can turn into formaldehyde gas when heated during a treatment. Now, the company’s bottles of solution carry a warning label to alert stylists to the potential formaldehyde risk and the need to perform the treatment in a well-ventilated area. The manufacturer said Monday (3-6-12) that it had agreed to settle a class-action lawsuit for about $4.5 million.

The FDA has previously received complaints that the products cause adverse reactions, including nervous system problems such as headaches, respiratory tract problems, nausea, chest pain, vomiting and rashes.

Hair-straightening products are allowed to contain small concentrations of formaldehyde (0.2 percent). But several hair-straightening solutions have been found to contain well above the allowable limit. For example, one popular hair-straightening product that advertised itself as “formaldehyde-free” actually contained 6.8 percent to 11.8 percent formaldehyde.
Another example: Fourteen women, including two from North Texas and one from Houston, are suing Unilever, the maker of a product they claim caused permanent damage to their hair.
“It transforms frizzy, unmanageable hair into hair that’s sleeker and easier to style,” said the commercial for the Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion 30-Day Smoothing Kit, which is no longer being sold
When she began looking online for more information about the product, she said she found some people who said it worked, but more who said it damaged their hair.
She discovered a Facebook page devoted to angry consumers, and there are multiple postings on YouTube. I’ve been warning people about relaxers since 2009 and people are giving me thumbs down!
BTW: A variety of hair-straightening products used in professional salons can expose both hairdressers and their customers to formaldehyde. The results show that three professional hair-smoothing treatments labeled “formaldehyde free” can produce the cancer-causing chemical at concentrations above the occupational exposure limits set by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. They tested four products: Coppola Keratin Complex Blonde Formula, Global Keratin Juvexin Optimized Functional Keratin, La Brasiliana Escluso Keratin Treatment with Collagen, and Brazilian Blowout Acai Professional Smoothing Solution. While ChemRisk tested four popular brands of hair straighteners, THERE ARE HUNDREDS on the market. Nov. 11-11

By contrast, beauty salon owners and stylists generally lack a scientific background and don’t have a keen awareness of the danger of working with products that contain formaldehyde, experts say.

Watch: Good Hair a documentary by Chris Rock 2009 on BET or HBO. According to Tyra Banks, 80% of the black population are part of the billion dollar hair industry. Clips on youtube videos, also.

Chemicals can enter the body through the skin.

Another way to find the secret to beautiful hair? Find someone with beautiful healthy curls or silky, shiny (not greasy) straight hair and ask him or her to share secrets, preferably someone who is 40-60 years older than YOU. I have 5 decades, so you’re getting the answers you need, right here! I won’t charge you a penny!
Better yet, watch Pretty Woman – Julia Roberts’s hair in that movie! In the 90’s, they didn’t have many hair products or heating tools and they also styled her hair many ways!
Very good example with very long & very tightly curls: watch Derek Hough dances with Brilynn Rakes, 17. Brilynn was chosen to dance on “DWTS” when producers saw incredible videos of the blind girl’s skills. Her hair was styled many ways w/out the use of heat! Like when you dye your hair and it looks really shiny and healthy and is also very soft, but once you’re on your own, your hair will not have the same formula as the kit.

What’s the best way to study for an exam?

I’ve been doing horrible this semester. I’m a marketing major at a university and I’m getting crushed. I read all the chapters and then I read all the lecture notes. Sometimes I even take online prep quizes. What am I doing wrong? Is there a better way to study?

Here is a possible suggestion that has been very successful for me throughout college and promotional exams on my job. Read the chapters and underline what you feel is important. Then get yourself a tape recorder and some tapes. Read into the tape recorder all the material that you have underlined. Then, just sit back and listen to the tapes. Once you have listened to them repeatedly, the material will begin to stick. Same with the lecture notes. You can also listen to them on your car ‘s tape deck. I graduated with high honors from college using this system. I have also been promoted several times on my job using this same study system.
Good luck!

Malta Holidays Change Marketing Strategies

Malta is part of an archipelago of seven islands located in the Mediterranean Sea, and its central location makes it a popular vacation spot for tourists from Europe and Africa.

Prior to the development of Malta’s tourist industry in the 1950s, the economy was geared toward providing services to the British military.

During this time, the tourism industry was not as important as the island’s strategic placement. After the British government closed down its military base on Malta, tourism began to flourish. The island also became a port for ship repairs and light manufacturing.

In the late 1950s, the Maltese government formalized its efforts to promote Malta as a tourist destination and to improve access to its beaches – tourism began to grow rapidly.

Malta soon was playing host to more than 12,000 tourists and filling its hotels, often to capacity, during prime vacation seasons.

Malta has been a prime vacation destination for years. Its white sandy beaches and many attractions appeal to a wide variety of audiences.

For the 2008 holiday season, the Malta Tourism Authority (MTA) launched an entirely new marketing plan. The plan, launched in late 2007, promotes Malta through a variety of media. Methods have included television advertisements, radio spots, posters, billboards and online marketing.

In cooperation with Air Malta, MTA launched several key promotions in Italy and France. Promotions in the two countries included television commercials that were played simultaneously on 1,152 large, flat-screen televisions in 22 major train stations.

This method alone was seen by millions of potential tourists. More than 600 large posters were hung in the Paris metro station and another 300 were on display on outdoor advertising.

In March 2008, Malta’s representation at the Globe Fair in Rome helped promote Malta to a new, younger crowd of potential tourists.

Promotions continued through the month of April and included Maxi Retro advertisements in Rome, Milan, Bologna, Treviso and Mestre. In total, 225 public transit buses and trams bore advertisements for the MTA and Air Malta.

Spain also has seen an increase in MTA advertisements. Barcelona is home to a large, 980-square-foot billboard promoting Malta.

The billboard is well-lit and visible from a great distance both during the day and night. In addition to the billboard, hundreds of posters hang in the Barcelona and Madrid subways. Two trams in Valencia also bear advertising, along with two Maxi Retro buses in Barcelona. A radio campaign was launched in Madrid to help promote low-cost flight connections from Spain to Malta.

Malta recently has changed currency from the Maltese lira to the euro. Some argue that the change will have a detrimental effect on Malta’s tourism. Others believe the change will have a positive effect on Malta’s economy and tourism.

Both sides have valid arguments, as the euro is gaining value against the sterling and dollar.

However, current exchange rates will cause a bit more of a wallet-pinch as international tourists plan overseas vacations.

Lower-cost airfares will definitely be more popular this year as a result. Low-cost flight alternatives offer more flexibility for tourists who enjoy a long weekend away from the rigors of everyday life.

Many other ways to lower vacation costs still exist. The thrifty tourist still will be able to find creative ways to make vacation plans.

Competition for Search and Advertising Market Shares Gets Tougher

The competition among top three search engines is becoming tougher. Bing is giving strong competition to Google and Yahoo in terms of search share as well as advertising. According to ComScore, Bing showed more growth than Google and Yahoo in terms of percentages of search engines market shares and number of searches in November. However, Google remained at top position in terms of overall search market shares, Search ad ROI and Click-through-rates.

Google and Bing grew while Yahoo declined

Google and Bing improved their search share slightly in November 09, when compared to October. Google sites improved by 0.2% and Bing gained 0.4% compared to previous month, while Yahoo showed a drop of 0.5%. Google accounted for 9.5 billion slearches up 1% from October, while Yahoo sites dropped of 1%. Bing sites grew a healthy 5% reaching 1.5 billion searches. Overall, Americans conducted 14.4 billion searches in November by growing 1% from October.

Google is most efficient in Search Ad ROI

The report from Efficient Frontier says that Google is the most efficient search engine among the top three search engines. The ROI efficiency was up by a good 43% Y-O-Y. Next to Google, Bing showed a growth of 24% in search ad ROI. However, Yahoo dropped by 8% of its ROI over a year. According to WebVisible, Google has the highest Cost-per-Click rate among the search engines followed by Bing, which is an indicator of quality of the clicks. However, Bing brought the highest click-through rates for small businesses.

Online Advertisers Reduced Their Spending Intensifying the Competition

There is a clear indication of Search ad spending is stabilizing. However, the impact of recession on online advertising is considerable because of both smaller and larger businesses reduced their spending. Small businesses reduced their spending by 41% from Q2 2008 to Q2 2009, while larger advertisers reduced their spending by 22%. However, advertisers from mid-sized businesses were able to increase their spending by 5% on search engines in contrast to small and larger business advertisers.

Overall spending on search engines was dropped by 21% in Q2 2009, but ROI increased by 17% compared to the corresponding period last year. However, when compared with Q1 of 2001 it was dropped by only 3%, while the ROI increased to 129% from 117%.

Advertisers Taking a Chance

Among the top three search engines, Bing is showing a consistent gain though small in market shares month-over-month shedding negative growth trends of Microsoft Live search. According to ComScore, Bing experienced 6% of growth month-over-month (Nov-Oct 2009) in search shares among top 10 search engines and became more important in search market. Noticing this, advertisers quickly changed ad budgets preferences. Google lost 5% in ad spending share during Q3 2009 compared to corresponding period previous year. At the same time, Bing gained 2.9% points.

It seems advertisers are experimenting with Bing at the cost of Google and Yahoo to check the quality of Bing as an advertising platform. It is possible that advertisers betting on the increasing search shares for Bing. However, it will be too early to say that Bing is gaining at the expense of Google and Yahoo.

Advertising, Commercialism, and the Economy?

Hey, I have to write a research paper for my AP US History class. I want to write about the evolution of advertising in American history and its effect on the economy, especially in times of economic crisis such as the Great Depression. So, here are my main questions:

1. Does anyone know of any good book sources relating to these topics? (Even things vaguely related such as the psychology of advertising, etc, would be wonderful).
2. Does anyone know of any reputable online sources relating to these topics?
3. Does anyone have any knowledge of these topics that they could share with me?

Thanks, guys.

How do I get a good job?

I’ve been applying for jobs everywhere, since April. I graduated with a degree in Business Administration, – Management. I’d like to get a job in HR, finanace, or pretty much anything business (except sales). I’ve been networking, as much as I can/know how, and applying to positions online. What else can I do to get a job! I’m a hard working, smart guy, and idk how to show that to people. Any suggestions on how to get a job?!?

An undergraduate business degree usually takes four years to complete. It is offered by numerous public and private colleges and universities. Students can specialize in several areas, including marketing, accounting and management information systems. Core courses usually include strategic management, human resource management and corporate finance. Graduate studies usually lead to the master of business administration degree. Business graduates generally have several career choices because they are trained to apply their skills in any industry.

For some, the best career choice after graduation involves preparing business plans and starting their own companies. For most graduates interested in senior management roles, several years of experience in product or functional management roles are required. In the public sector, a business graduate usually starts out as a policy analyst or project officer, then gradually moves through the ranks to a senior management position. Executives are generally compensated very well, especially in the private sector where stock options and bonuses are often substantially higher than the base salary.

Management consulting or management analysis is also an attractive career path for business graduates. Consultants can specialize in several areas, including technology management, regulatory compliance and human resource planning. Business graduates with a specialization in information systems are also in demand at technology consulting firms to work as business process analysts. The median annual salary for management analysts in May 2008 was about $74,000, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).

Business graduates interested in the financial markets can consider becoming securities analysts. Starting out as research associates, they analyze various financial products and provide recommendations on appropriate business decisions. The median annual salary for financial analysts in May 2008 was about $73,000, according to BLS.

Business graduates can choose the sales and marketing career track. The job involves finding and cultivating clients, designing advertising campaigns, promoting the company’s products at trade shows and meeting sales objectives. Over time, and based on meeting certain performance goals, sales and marketing representatives may be promoted to regional managers and product managers, and eventually general managers and vice presidents of sales. The median annual salaries in May 2008 were about $109,000 for marketing managers and about $97,000 for sales managers. However, their job security and compensation are usually tied to meeting sales objectives and thus depend a great deal on overall economic conditions.

Accountants help prepare financial statements and budgets. Some accountants go into auditing, where they verify financial records and watch for indications of fraud. According to BLS, the median annual salary for accountants and auditors was about $59,000 in May 2008.

Other careers include teaching, which generally requires several years of postgraduate education; investor relations, which involves managing a public company’s relationships with investors and financial analysts; human resource management, including recruiting and labor relations management; and nonprofit sector management.

what laptop brand is better?

im looking for a new laptop and i wanted to know just a lil bit on which laptop brand was better
or toshiba
and i dont need like which laptop exactly just which brand stands what they really say about their products.

You’ll probably get a bunch of different opinions on this kind of generalized question. One, “better” is subjective, and two, they all have different areas of strength and weakness. E.g. One laptop brand might be good for gaming, while another might be better suited for graphic-arts, while a 3rd might be more focused on business productivity. So it’s hard to be specific when answering your generalized question.

In my experience, Acer has a decent history of providing good value for your money spent. They will often make quality-compromises in order to drive down costs, but their products still tend to be priced well for what you get. Of course it depends on what you want out of a laptop. Here’s a recent review of one of their more interesting laptops:

HP and Toshiba both have a long history of providing good-quality laptops, that weren’t necessarily the cheapest you’d find, but performed well, and were durable. These days as competition has increased, they’ve been forced to make concessions in order to not be priced right out of the market, but their stuff is still pretty good. I’ve always had a personal preference for Toshiba, – my very first laptop back in ’94 was a $5000 clunker from Toshiba with a whopping 20MB of memory (yes MB, not GB). Thank goodness the company paid for it, not me.

Dell – Dell is a master at supply-chain management. They’re strength is making it VERY easy to pick and choose which laptop you want, how you want it configured, etc. They then get it to you very quickly. If you wait until Dell does one of their online sales, you can save a good amount of money. I don’t personally think they’re good value at full price, but when they’re on sale they’re half-decent. Dell also owns a subsidiary called Alienware, which makes heavily overpriced laptops which nonetheless have some heavy-duty features, and are targeted at gaming.

One brand you didn’t mention is Lenovo. Lenovo is a chinese manufacturer that bought out the rights to the ThinkPad brand from IBM a few years back. For the most-part they’ve continued to provide the same level of high quality products that IBM used to. They’re not the cheapest you’ll find, and you won’t find them in very many stores, but you can order them online, and their stuff is solid. Not great for gaming, but excellent for almost anything else.

Perhaps a good approach for you would be to start with something middle-of-the-road, like Acer, and then figure out if it’s good enough for you based on what you want to do with it. If you provide some additional details about how you plan on using it, I’m sure you’ll get more specific advice.

Does John McCain plan on cutting funding to Medicare and Medicaid to pay for his healthcare plan?

I just read this article in the Wall Street Journal.
The first paragraph states “John McCain would pay for his health plan with major reductions to Medicare and Medicaid, a top aide said, in a move that independent analysts estimate could result in cuts of $1.3 trillion over 10 years to the government programs.”

Why hadn’t McCain mentioned this?

Could it be because his best hope for victory is a large margin of victory amongst the oldest voters. Well, if the market’s tanking and the notion of McCain’s privatizing social security wasn’t enough for them, how about a trillion dollar cut in Medicare?

Yes it’s true….and he doesn’t mention it because it would hurt his campaign. He plans to cut MANY healthcare programs….all so we can get a 2,500 tax credit….but he doesn’t say that our income will be taxed for our healthcare expenses (estimated at 12,000)….so the 2,500 isn’t going to cover anything.

What Is Online Advertising Advertisers

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

What is the best way to advertise on the internet for free?

I just opened an online store and I need to get people to my site.
Is there any free advertisers that I could use?

This is a good place to start. If your site has content that helps address questions, use Yahoo Answers and cite your website as a source. It gets visits!

Next, consider link trading programs. If you have like-minded sites that you can trade with, do it!

Post to message boards that cover similar topics. Get people to bookmark you using and other social networking sites – use MySpace and make friends. Anywhere you can post a message, you can post your URL.

It’s just like networking in the professional world – make connections and get them interested in what you have to offer. The more you talk about your site, and more importantly when others talk about your site, you will attract more visitors. All of this can be done without a financial investment, just your time. Best of luck! (by the way, because you posted your URL I took the time to check out the site – see, it already worked!)
