What are some good ways to advertise offline?

I offer a service for local businesses. I’ve tried advertising on CraigsList and other online classifieds, but no luck. I’ve also tried telemarketing, but again, no luck.

What are some other ways to advertise offline?

Word of mouth, visiting businesses that may benefit from your services, newspaper/local paper/flier ads, you could probably post fliers on public bulletin boards as well. Some grocery stores/college campuses in the area may have bulletin boards that you could advertise on for free – without knowing what your services are, it’s hard for me to tell whether this is a medium that would work for you!

Online, you could advertise via a blog, website, or other web promotion. www.projectwonderful.com allows you to post ads on other peoples sites through bidding.. it’s worked for my online store!

Best of luck.

How do I attract customers to a new online business?

Aside from advertising of course. I just started my online comic book store. The first shipment of merchandise has yet to arrive. In the meantime I’m not sure what to do to get people to choose my store over larger, established names. Part of the problem is that for the initial push my stock will be small until I can gauge how well the business is doing. I don’t want the first customers to get scared away thinking I will have less than the competitor (which I will at first, of course).

Low prices. Word of mouth. Offer them something different than the competition, such as social networking or forums.

Where to promote an event about kindness in business?

Hi,

The event is in San Diego and I posted it on most online calendars and in Asian Journal.

Does anyone have any ideas on where I can promote the event further to get to small business owners (0-5 employees) who want to be successful in business without giving up on being nice?

Any magazines you think I should advertise in? Websites? Any ideas?

Many thanks!
Reut

Google, Yahoo, etc. Not Tv though that cost like a thousand doolars per sec.

Can i use a Dictionary that is not Public Domain to make flashcards to sell? If no, suggestions?

I am looking to launch a little project around making and selling high quality flashcards for a niche market. I see a lot of people selling these. Can I use definitions from a dictionary which is on the market/online for definitions or do I need to modify general definitions myself?

Any other ideas would be appreciated.

No, you can’t use definitions from any dictionary that is not public domain. Unless you make major changes, you still can’t do it.

You should use your own words entirely rather than trying to rip off someone or a company that put the effort into creating a dictionary.

Online Marketing Journals

Where do I find reputable trade journals (in print or online) that I could use to find good products to sell?

I’m looking to find products that I can sell online. I’d like to create a niche market. Without going to a trade show, can I find products listed in trade journals somewhere in print or online? If so, where?

http://www.fita.org, this is an import/export information website, depending which countries you want to import from, there are certain websites where they advertise or showcase their products, please send me a private email, because it took me a long time to find these websites and I don’t want to just post it here.
