Where are the best places to look for online affiliate marketers?

Currently working for a company in Birmingham developing their sales strategy.
I’m considering routes to market for a fantastic software product that’s got some great clients already, but needs to find a larger-scale way of finding new customers.

It’s a software-as-a-service product which I think could work well for affiliate online marketing. But I’ve never used this approach myself before, does anyone have any tips for appointing affiliate marketers, any directories they can recommend, people they’ve used successfully before etc.?

As an affiliate manager I can tell you that there are many ways to find affiliates.

First of all you must target your research to affiliates that deal with the products you are trying to promote.

Once you have targeted your niche you can do:

1. Web intelligence: You can use several tools as whois.com or aboutus.com to find the owner of the affiliate site

2. Massive Recruitment: You can go to different forums and promote your affiliate program. (READ the rules of each forums they might ban you if you don’t follow them)

To recruit affiliates you need to have an organized system that will track, aid’s, orders, click’s and all the stats that you will need to clarify the affiliates status.

If your company has an online store they surely have a tracking system, you should ask.

Good Luck

online marketing seminars free

Can forex trading companies be trusted? Ie Focus Securities etc, they try to sell you software and seminars ov?

I am interested in learing to trade on the currency market but not sure where to go for my information. there are some tempting offers out there from these companies, but i don’t trust them?

It’s very difficult to know who to trust. Many of the people who sell seminars and e-books have good intentions, but it’s also very difficult to teach someone how to trade. It’s something you have to learn for yourself.

I recommend that you start by reading everything you can at your local bookstore about stocks and Forex trading. That will give you an introduction, and some ideas. Then open a free Forex demo account and start playing around. There’s also a lot of free information online which might help point you in the right direction.

Best of luck!

Will a legit modeling agency sign you without meeting you?

I submitted photos of my baby to several modeling agencies. One has responded inviting us to come in for an interview. The next response (from another agency) we got was a modeling agency contract. They charge 10% on all jobs, and also charge $100 to put your kid on the website (though they will represent you regardless). They also want professional photos, but they don’t get the money for them.

What I find weird is that they are offering to represent our baby without having actually seen him, and also, the money to put him on the website seems weird to me. If it helps get him jobs, they should do it regardless because they should be incentivized to get him work. If not, then it shouldn’t be a gimmicky option. This makes me wonder if they are a legit agency. They also have an exclusivity clause in their contract, which makes me extra cautious.

Any thoughts on these guys? They are the Cameo Agency in Waltham, MA

I have never heard of that agency so I can’t comment if they are legit or not. But I have never heard of an agency that signs people they have never seen and only operate online.

Especially kids when their personality is more important than their looks. There are millions of cute babies but very few who are comfortable around strangers, can sit still, can follow prompts (smile, laugh, wave, etc) which is why an agency wants to see how your child reacts if an agent tries to pick him up for example

10% is a decent commission – that’s very low and $100 is pretty normal as a marketing fee.

But I don’t know how they could accept your child without seeing your child in person and your child’s personality. Not to mention that they have NO way to know how old those pictures are that you sent in

I would first contact the BBB to find out their rating and how long they’ve been in business. Then ask the agency who their big clients are, then call the marketing departments of those companies to confirm they do book models through that agency and are happy with the results. If they say that they work with Baby Gap, for example, and Gap’s Marketing Department confirms they book through this agency then you will know that they are getting work for their models

What specs determine a wireless router’s range?

I’m looking to buy a higher end wireless router that has a good range more than anything else but is good to use for gaming. I see MIMO this, and 300 Mbps that but which spec exactly dictates its range. Basically is there something I can use to compare one router’s range with another?

When purchasing a wireless router you notice that there are many different options and can’t really grasp the difference between them. Have patience in reading the description below, am sure by the end of this you would be able to judge the best one for you. Lets gig on:

Step 1:
Determine How Much You Are Willing To Spend!

There is a saying, “You get what you pay for.” You will find that this statement is often realistic. Before you decide on what wireless router to choose determine how much you have or are willing to spend on a good unit.

Step 2:
Know The Difference Between Routers.

Basically there are 3 different wireless routers on the market today:

Wireless G: Is the slowest connection rating at 54mbps (mega bits per second) and offer the least coverage area. This unit is good for the average home user who does not have a lot of wireless objects connecting to one network. It is mainly used for web browsing and not much else. Price Ranges from $29.99 to $49.99.

Wireless G+ or Enhanced: Is the next fastest unit to the base model. It offers a connection rating of twice the speed of a standard G at 108mbps (mega bits per second). It offers a little bit more range capability than the wireless g. It is a good unit for medium sized networks, video streaming, and web browsing. Price Ranges from $39.99 to $59.99.

Wireless N: Is the fastest router out on the market and offers connection ratings of up to 600mbps (mega bits per second). This is the ultimate router out on the market. It is good for wireless surveillance systems, web browsing, online video gaming, large networks, video streaming, and much more. Price ranges from 59.99 to around $120.00.

Step 3:
Other Features To Consider!

Some routers can be bought range enhanced. If you are looking to have a larger connection range inquire purchasing a range enhanced router. If range is an issue inquire buying high gain antennas for the specific unit you intend to purchase.

Step 4:
Manufacturers!

There are many manufacturers of wireless routers. How do you know what manufacturer to go with? I would suggest that you look into name brand routers such as linksys, belkin, netgear, or d-link. The prices of these particular name brand routers may cost a little bit more money, but they usually operate more efficiently.

Step 5:
Read Reviews!

The best thing to do when purchasing any electronic unit is to do some research. Read reviews about what customers have to say that already own the unit. Do they like it, what are the pros and cons? This will assist you in making an educated choice about which wireless router model meets your specific needs.

Now am sure you have fair knowledge about wireless routers and specs that make you choose the right one for you. Let me again bring your focus on the adapters “wireless b, g, g+ and n), these are the specs that determine the range and speed of a router. Also note that these are the standards so every wireless router has to comply with it. That being said means that every router will follow the range specified for them. If you want to extend the range of any one of these then you require repeaters. Their range is described above.

To summarize:
A general rule of thumb in home networking says that 802.11b and 802.11g WAPs and routers support a range of up to 150 feet (46 m) indoors and 300 feet (92 m) outdoors.

Another rule of thumb holds that the effective range of 802.11a is approximately one-third that of 802.11b/g.

Their signaling drop by obstructions in home. Obstructions in home such as brick walls and metal frames or siding greatly can reduce the range of a Wi-Fi LAN by 25% or more.

Now, choose the best one for you and am sure you now know the specs to check on.

A Web/Graphic Designer?

Can SomeOne Explain To Me What A Web Designer Is;
What Yooh Have To Do To Become One;
How Much One Gets Paid;
And EveryThing Else Yooh Know About One.

Im 13 And I Want To Be A Web Or Graphic Designer When I Grow Up; I Just Need Some Details About It..

What is a web/graphic designer?
—web designers are responsible for developing the look, feel, organization, and graphics content of a website. Some web designers only specialize in creating the graphic content and raw look of a site. At this stage, it is little more than an image. It is then giving to a web developer who will cut it up and code it to make the site function. More and more web designers now are expected to know the coding side of web design which includes coding languages such as HTML, DHTML, Javascript, Actionscript, PHP, CSS, Jquery, and so on.

A graphic designer is less involved with online and multimedia projects but can still be web designers also. Graphic designers primarily work with printed material but can work in many different no print based areas. The projects they work with can include logos, billboards, magazines, books, television, hollywood films, video games, album art, promotional advertising, and more.

There are basically three different types of graphic/web designers. #1 is a designer who works for a design agency. Agencies such as this are hired by a wide variety of companies for creative and graphic services. #2 is an in-house designer. Some companies decide that rather than continually hiring a design agency, they will have their own graphic design team within the company and that team works only on design projects for it’s own company. The majority of graphic/web designers are in-house designers. And #3 is freelancers who work for themselves. They find their own clients and set their own hours. It can be nice to be a freelancer sometimes, but the major thing that drives people away from it is that there is no guaranteed steady income. Your yearly pay is entirely depended on how many clients and projects you can find for yourself. Because of this, freelancing can be the most difficult to work in of the three.

What Yooh Have To Do To Become One?
—Different people take different routes to becoming web/graphic designers. Typically what employers are looking for is either a two or four year degree with a concentration in design such a BA, BFA, or AA degree. Different employers have different standards of educational criteria. The firm I work at favors a BFA or BA four year degree.

How Much One Gets Paid?
—Here is a breakdown of average annual salaries in the graphic design industry by job title and years of experience. It was done by a firm called The Creative Group who does analysis for this industry.

And EveryThing Else Yooh Know About One?
—It is NOT easy and it is highly competitive. There are a lot of amazing designer out there, and if you don’t work toward becoming a great designer, you will get passed over 80% of the time for someone who did. Having said that they, I love my job. It’s very stressful, and a lot of work, but I have a lot of fun with it. Not many people can say they enjoy their job.

Can you list pros and cons of the modern information highway?

and how it fuels the “instant gratification” society we live in.

Social impact

The Internet has made possible entirely new forms of social interaction, activities and organizing, thanks to its basic features such as widespread usability and access.

Social networking websites such as Facebook and MySpace have created a new form of socialization and interaction. Users of these sites are able to add a wide variety of items to their personal pages, to indicate common interests, and to connect with others. It is also possible to find a large circle of existing acquaintances, especially if a site allows users to utilize their real names, and to allow communication among large existing groups of people.

Sites like meetup.com exist to allow wider announcement of groups which may exist mainly for face-to-face meetings, but which may have a variety of minor interactions over their group’s site at meetup.org, or other similar sites.

[edit] Political organization and censorship
For more details on this topic, see Internet censorship.

In democratic societies, the Internet has achieved new relevance as a political tool. The presidential campaign of Howard Dean in 2004 in the United States became famous for its ability to generate donations via the Internet. Many political groups use the Internet to achieve a whole new method of organizing, in order to carry out Internet activism.

Some governments, such as those of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Myanmar, the People’s Republic of China, and Saudi Arabia, restrict what people in their countries can access on the Internet, especially political and religious content. This is accomplished through software that filters domains and content so that they may not be easily accessed or obtained without elaborate circumvention.

In Norway, Denmark, Finland and Sweden, major Internet service providers have voluntarily (possibly to avoid such an arrangement being turned into law) agreed to restrict access to sites listed by police. While this list of forbidden URLs is only supposed to contain addresses of known child pornography sites, the content of the list is secret.[citation needed]

Many countries, including the United States, have enacted laws making the possession or distribution of certain material, such as child pornography, illegal, but do not use filtering software.

There are many free and commercially available software programs with which a user can choose to block offensive websites on individual computers or networks, such as to limit a child’s access to pornography or violence. See Content-control software.

[edit] Leisure activities

The Internet has been a major source of leisure since before the World Wide Web, with entertaining social experiments such as MUDs and MOOs being conducted on university servers, and humor-related Usenet groups receiving much of the main traffic. Today, many Internet forums have sections devoted to games and funny videos; short cartoons in the form of Flash movies are also popular. Over 6 million people use blogs or message boards as a means of communication and for the sharing of ideas.

The pornography and gambling industries have both taken full advantage of the World Wide Web, and often provide a significant source of advertising revenue for other websites. Although many governments have attempted to put restrictions on both industries’ use of the Internet, this has generally failed to stop their widespread popularity.

One main area of leisure on the Internet is multiplayer gaming. This form of leisure creates communities, bringing people of all ages and origins to enjoy the fast-paced world of multiplayer games. These range from MMORPG to first-person shooters, from role-playing games to online gambling. This has revolutionized the way many people interact and spend their free time on the Internet.

While online gaming has been around since the 1970s, modern modes of online gaming began with services such as GameSpy and MPlayer, to which players of games would typically subscribe. Non-subscribers were limited to certain types of gameplay or certain games.

Many use the Internet to access and download music, movies and other works for their enjoyment and relaxation. As discussed above, there are paid and unpaid sources for all of these, using centralized servers and distributed peer-to-peer technologies. Discretion is needed as some of these sources take more care over the original artists’ rights and over copyright laws than others.

Many use the World Wide Web to access news, weather and sports reports, to plan and book holidays and to find out more about their random ideas and casual interests.

People use chat, messaging and e-mail to make and stay in touch with friends worldwide, sometimes in the same way as some previously had pen pals. Social networking websites like MySpace, Facebook and many others like them also put and keep people in contact for their enjoyment.

The Internet has seen a growing number of Web desktops, where users can access their fil

what do doctors think about Z Coil shoes?

Docter Erwin Linzner shares his insights on Z-CoiL® Pain Relief Footwear™ and good posture:

Good posture is an important strategy in protecting your spine and preventing soft tissue injuries, such as postural strains. Whether you are a nurse that is constantly on your feet, or a secretary that spends hours behind a desk and performs data entry, poor posture will inevitably lead to musculo-skeletal injury and pain. It therefore behooves all of us to use good posture in our daily activities, such as sitting, standing and walking.

Ideal posture is basically that body configuration that requires the minimal amount of energy to keep us seated or upright. Once you deviate from that position, certain muscle groups get fatigued and problems will result. For instance, if you are a secretary, and you do not use a headset, and you consistently tilt your head to the side to approximate the head to the phone, you are going to have neck pain. A chronically tilted head requires your lateral flexors of the neck to work overtime, resulting in sprains/strains.

While standing, our base support starts with our feet. Our spine by design has several curvatures to maximize our ability to balance, and at the same time minimizes the amount of energy required to maintain this posture. High heels, as worn by many women, of course forcibly deviates your body’s curvatures from ideal, leading to back pain, knee pain, and foot pain. An innovative new product on the market, called Z-Coil shoes, may actually help improve your posture. These shoes were actually designed to prevent foot, back, and leg pain. These shoes have a built-in orthotic, a rocker-bottom forefoot neoprene sole, and a metal coil under the heel for maximum shock absorption. Advantages of these shoes include impact reduction, stimulation of the balancing system due to the elasticity of the coil.

The loss of the ability to coordinate our muscles for balancing is one of the main reasons seniors fall and sustain hip fractures. I believe, Z-Coils may actually help in maintaining our balancing system, which of course involves the brain. This would be due to the fact that the coil has a give on impact, which forces you to work on your balance. Better balance, less impact on the back from standing, may help your posture, especially if there already is pain and inflammation in the affected area of the spine.

Since 1994, Doctor Erwin Linzner has managed a chiropractic practice in Rohnert Park, California. He uses manual manipulation, soft tissue manipulation and rehabilitation for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. He believes that wellness comes from healthful living, which includes proper nutrition, exercise, and sleep. These are the primary factors that prevent disease, but also need to be addressed in healing from any condition.
