–          Do they have a one moving truck or multiple? How are the trucks presented? Trucks that advertise the business with professionally displayed logos give you a good indication that the moving company is legitimate.

–          Do they have recommendations or testimonials from past customers? If you’re looking for an interstate moving company testimonials and recommendations are vital to ensure the company can handle the task of moving your belongings interstate.

–          How did you feel about the company after meeting with them? What sort of service did they provide? The best way to get an idea about a company is to meet them and discuss your requirements and see what solutions, if any, they suggest.

I live in port macquarie australia.Im fourteen and im looking for employment.?

I live in Port Macquarie, im fourteen years old last july. im looking for some place where i can start off working. can you please help me find some places in port macquarie where a fourteen year old female can apply for a job. it would be great if you could find me an online application. ill keep searching. thanks 🙂

Try supermarkets in Port Macquarie – they are always looking for staff.

There is a 15 year old boy who works on the checkout at my local Coles during the school holidays and sometimes on the weekends. He makes good pocket money……. and with this type of job, you will learn some valuable customer service skills in the process.

Cafes are always looking for waitresses – these jobs are sometimes advertised by the cafe owner by putting a note in the window. Also check your local newspaper and local noticeboards.

Port Macquarie is a tourist area, so anything in hospitality should be a good idea: waitressing, kitchen hand, room attendant, cleaner, short order cook, etc…

Here is a job in Port Macquarie for a food assistant:

Now I was under the impression that you had to be 15 to have a job in Australia. But the waitress at my local cafe is 14. So you will have to double check the legal requirements in your area.

All employers want someone with a nice smile, positive attitude, keen to learn, good time keeper, a team player, but most of all…..trustworthy and reliable.

The very worst thing you can do is present yourself as a sulky gum chewing teen that sneers a lot.

First impressions count – so if you go for an interview (especially in hospitality) you need to look clean and smart.

The last teenager that turned up for an interview at my place of work arrived in a dirty tee-shirt, ripped jeans, scuffed trainers, multiple piercings, messy hair and had a skateboard under his arm – and NO he didn’t get the job.

And remember – ALL skills learned in the workplace will be useful one day.

So even if you land a horrible job in KFC….with the right attitude and right frame of mind, you can always get something positive from any experience……however bad.

All skills are transferable to other jobs, so just use a bad job as a stepping stone to bigger and brighter future.

Be careful, some scrupulous cafe owners will ask you to work an evening shift for free (no pay) to “give you a trial run”, and at the end of the night say you were no good and you don’t get the job…..this is just free labour for them.

On the other hand, I have convinced people to give me a full time paying job, after offering to work for a day free, so they can see how hard I work.

Just see how you go, and take each case on a different basis, depending on the sort of people running the cafes.
