Online Advertising Objections

online advertising objections

About film covers website owners uses (copyright)?

So the question are all about online website owners which shows films for free, for pay per view, rent films.
Do they need to buy covers for films to avoid copyright infringement?
What about other film pictures? Does anyone has an idea how websites gets advanced pictures of films likes IMDB?
Any information will be appreciated and available source would be nice.

IMDB works with film companies, the companies recognize the site as a valuable advertising resource. Allowing them to use their posters is part of an advertising campaign, like showing a clip on a talk show. You’ll find the same lack of objection most places.

The rest depends on whether the website is legal. Illegal sites simply steal everything. Legal sites buy the rights to film covers with the right to show or rent the movie.
